Twenty-year-old, Jakob Wiechmann has broken out in the fashion industry with much ease. This rising star has managed to catch the eye of designers, editors, and spectators, alike. After making his first appearance at the Givenchy spring show in July 2008, Jakob has managed to find great success. In the same month, Jakob found himself being featured in Vmagazine.com, as the newcomer to the industry.

In the past year, young Mr. Wiechmann has partaken in ad campaigns, such as Trussardi and Lacoste; magazines, such as Dazed & Confused and AnOther Man; and even became the face of Givenchy.

Now in 2010, Jakob is featured on the spring cover of German L’Officiel Hommes, which is photographed by Jens Schmidt. For Jakob Wiechmann the future looks very bright, although he has told the press that he plans to take part of the year off to continue his schooling.

Wholesome Holman

The fashion world is welcoming new -comer Hannah Holman to the scene. This blonde beauty made her debut only a few months ago in June on the runway, but has created a huge buzz. Holman has signed with Elite in New York, and has modeled in everything from Marc by Marc Jacobs to Jill Stuart.

This blonde haired, blue- eyed beauty brings a fresh and clean vibe to the runway and camera. Originally from a town with a population of 155 in Utah, this young 19 year old knows how to knit, play the violin, and loves listening to the Dixie Chicks. Holman’s charm and flawless beauty is sure to continue to make a bold statement on and off the runways.

An editorial published in British Vogue this month is getting praise for it’s creative and unique approach to spring trends. The shoot, featuring model, Patricia van der Vliet lies out some trends we can expect to see for spring this year.

The shoot was styled by Lucinda Chambers and featured van der Vliet in very soft, girly looks. Think lace, bows, pearls, and ethereal looking fabrics loosely draped. Another magazine this month featuring models with these young looking outfits is W. In this editorial, the idea of “Alice in Wonderland” dresses and styles were shown. They stuck with the idea of fun, girly dresses with a lot of pinks and gingham prints

For those of us that live outside the glossy pages of Vogue and W, we can take these looks and make them our own. . As spring rolls around the dark blacks and greys of winter are out and pastels are in. Try adding fun accessories like layered pearl necklaces or floral clips. For fabrics try adding laces and layering textures. No matter how daring you choose to be when mixing up your look, by adding light color and girly accessories, you are sure to make a statement this spring.
